World Vision along the Belt and Road

The 2nd World Philanthropy Forum was held in Beijing on November 29 and 30, 2017. On behalf of World Vision, World Vision International President & CEO Mr. Kevin Jenkins signed the Memorandum of Understanding with CPAFFC to collectively support “Every Woman Every Child” China Partnership Network (EWECCPN) and the formation of a community of shared human destiny along the Belt & Road by sharing experiences, being a bridge for civil society philanthropy and promoting China’s development practices.

Over the next three years (2018-2020), the CPAFFC and World Vision plan to work in 28 counties and 105 townships in China to provide long term assistance to more than 60,000 children, adolescents and their parents/caregivers. World Vision also plans to invest over US$1 billion to implement Health, Nutrition, HIV & AIDS, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and other programs in 49 countries along the Belt & Road and in Africa to protect newborns and children under five years old against preventable deaths, improve the health of pregnant women and young mothers, and ensure the healthy development of children and adolescents.
