Care for Left-behind Children in Rural Areas

Since 1997, World Vision has been working closely with the China Charity Federation and Charity Federations of all administrative levels. Through large-scale, long-term and highly-committed child-focused Area Development Programme (ADP), holistic services are provided for left-behind children in rural villages. In addition, World Vision has carried out a group of left-behind children care activities in cooperation with local governments, charity association and organizations, such as, left-behind children’s center and peer support programs. It is expected that the implementation of these activities could provide support for the holistic development (health, education, love and proper care) of rural left-behind children.
